9 - THE DIRECTION OF THE RELIGION
 

The Religion is managed by two powers: The Celestial power and the Earthbly power .

A ) - THE CELESTIAL POWER  : Seated at the Bat-Quai-Dai ( Octogo,al Palace of Maha Manvantara or Place of creation ) God is assisted by God Himself, gives ordees and messages to the earth. God is assisted by Divine Spirits .

B ) - THE EAETHLY POWER : As God did not desire that on earthone man should hold both Spiritual Power and Temporal Power,  He divided the Earthyly Power into two and commotted it to 2 bodies: The Hiep-Thien-Dai and The Cuu-Trung-Dai. We thus avoid dictatorship .

a / - The Hiep-Thien-Dai  ( Place of meeting between God and Mandkind ) or Legislative Body on carth .

- Representing the Spiritual Power, it has the right of furisdiction and control . It is headed by the Ho-Phap ( Ho: To protect. Phap : Law rule )

b / - The Cuu-Trung-Dai  ( Nine degrees of the Angelic hierarchy ) or Executive Body, headed by the Giao-Tong ( Pope ) .

- Representing the Temporal Power, it is in cgarge of the Administration of the Riligion .

Besides the two abive bidies, there is laso the Charitable  Body placed under the supervision of the Hiep-Thien-Dai or Legislative Body .

We see the God's universal goverment consists of two distinct branches :

- The one is a govermant of souls and beings .

- And the other, instruction and education .

10 - THE STRCTURE OF CAODAISM  

The Hierarchy of the Cuu-Trung-Dai ( Executive Body ) and the Hiep-Thien-Dai ( Legislative Body ) is established in the following way :

Tin-do ( Followers )

The first step of a CaoDaist is to become a follower ( tin-do ) . He will enter either the Cuu-Trung-Dai or the Hiep-Thien-Dai .

(1) The 12 Zodiacal Dignitaries : Bao-Dao, Hien-Dao, Khai-Dao, Tiep-Dao, ( Religions branch ). Bao-Phap, Hien-Phap, Khai-Phap, Tiep-Phap, ( Mystical branch ) . Bao-The, Hien-THe, Khai-The, Tiep-The ( Social branch )  .

These 12 Zodiacal Dignitaries are also assisted by Technical Academicians : Bao-Huyen-Linh-Quan ( Theosophy ), Bao-Tinh-Quan ( Astronomy ), Bao-Co-Quan ( Law ), Bao-Van-Phap-Quan ( Arts ) Bao-Hoc-Quan ( Education ), Bao-Y-Quan ( Health ) Bao-Vat-Quan ( Social ), Bao-Thuong-Quan ( economics ) .
