SIGNIFICATION OF THIS DISPOSITION

 

No 1 - The Divine Eye - We are taught in Nirvana that God's th rone is the North, the rising is on His left  ( male Logo or Yang ) and the setting ( or female logo or Yin ) on the right. It rollows from this teaching that wherever God's altar is installed, the Divine Eye is the North, the rising or Yang is his left, and the setting or yin, is on his right  . In the Universe, thre are two 2 principles Yang that form the origin of all creation.

No 2 - The small lamp - In the middle of the altar is constantly kept lit a small lamp with a spherical glass symbolizing the Universal Monad ( Thai-Cuc ). In the beginning of the ages, the Universe was constituted by the Monad who is the Universal soul, the manifested form of God .

No 10 and 12 - Two Candles - By its manfetations, the above Monad successively presented its 2 aspects male and female Logos represented on the altar by 2 candles : the left candle ( No 12 ) represents the male Logos or solar light, the right candle ( No 10 ) is the female Logos or Lunar Light .

The 2 Logos united for production in general. The solar and Lunar lights ( yin and Yang ) still conserve the image of that productive power .

The left candle ( No 12 ) representing the Solar light ( Yang ) must be lit first at each cermony .

No 3 Fruit  Representing the Yen ( Female Logos )

No 4 -  Flowers  Representing the Yeng ( Male LOgos ) is on the left of the Divine Eye .

No 5 -  Cup of tea Onthe right of the Divine Eye,  represents the Yin .

No 9Cup of pur   Water on the left of the Divine Eye, symbolizes  the Yang. Tea and pure water mixed together form Holy water unsed for baptism .

No 6-7-8 - Three glasses of Wine Or Alcohol Representing the Astral being or our vital energy .

The offering of flowers, wine and tea, respoctively symboli ze the 3 constitutive elemonts of the human geing : the Tinh, The Khi, and The Than .

The Thinh is the essence of all matter, the cosmic sperm, without which no light may be manifested. It is the sexual energy of man and animal, the germinative virtue of plant By its cvaporation, the Tinh, which resides in man, constitutes the body as the flesh is ti the physical body . 

The Khi which literally means breath, air is in man, health, strength, vital energy. It is in the perispirit, the agent that unites the soul with the physical body which it vivifies .

The Than intelligent principle, is double in the human being, the superrior mental,  ( duong-than or Hon )is the Divine Spirit in Man, the inferior mental ( am-than or phach ) is the most subtile part of the perispirit . To convert sexual energy in to vital energy, vital energy into mental energy, such is the processus of the mystical purification of the three constitutive elements of the human being .

No 11 - Vase for 5 Sticks of Incense - Five sticks of incense stand for the 5 levels of initiation :

3 ) - Hue-Huong : Wisdom ( Prajna )
4 ) - Tri-Huong : Superior Knowledge ( Djnana )
5 ) - Giai-Thoat-Huong : Karmic Liberation ( Apavarga )
